Welcome to Tacubaya Mexican Restaurant

Tacubaya is the sister restaurant to the acclaimed Doña Tomás in Oakland.  Opened in July 2003, Tacubaya is a casual, yet upscale taqueria located in the Fourth Street shopping district of Berkeley.  Tacubaya is committed to serving authentic Mexican cuisine taking full advantage of the quality and variety of fresh ingredients available in the Bay Area. We prepare everything from scratch everyday, including handmade tortillas and complex traditional mole. We are committed to using meat, poultry, fish and produce grown sustainably and organically whenever possible.

We serve handmade aguas frescas, Mexican sodas, beer and wine.  Currently, our licensing allows us to serve alcohol inside only.  We proudly serve Blue Bottle Coffee.

We invite you to order at the counter, settle into a table indoors or out, and we'll bring your food to you.
